lyrics

Lyrics:

I spent a week in bed. I thought it might help.
And when it didn’t help,
I pulled the sheet back over my head.
However long it takes, I’ll get better.
I get rid of old clothes, dust every surface,
keep up with the news,
check in with my downstairs neighbor.
And when it doesn’t help, I push the sheet away.
I undress, and pray to Jesus, however long it takes.
O the marks on my arms, on my legs.
I bruise so easily.
I’ve been running into things;
twice I’ve fallen down the stairs.
I’ve been calling out from work.
I’ve been calling all the hotlines advertised.
